Styling with Daman: Mandeep Sandhu

Today on the blog, we have our Toronto Manager Daman styling Mandeep Sandhu, one of her close friends. When Mandeep is not running around as an Assistant Manager, she's spending time with her sweet doodle pup, Honey. Mandeep has a true love for clothing and how different pieces can change your mood or persona.

Read our interview to learn more about the styling process that took place as Daman styles Mandeep for different events in her daily life.

Q: How were you introduced to the Meg brand?

A: Daman introduced me to the brand last summer! I fell in love with a set—the Triangle Shirt and matching Gathered Shorts in Army Green—and I haven’t looked back since!

Q: What trends are you most excited about this spring season?

A: I love a tailored suit for spring, it will always be a classic go-to.

Q: Since it's Women's History Month, what women in your life inspire you?

A: My mother inspires me the most. She's such a courageous and strong woman; I aspire to be like her.

Q: Now, let's style some Meg pieces! Walk us through these pieces and how you styled them.

A: We kept these outfits pretty simple. We wanted to stay true to Mandeep's style, so we mixed a bit of femininity with oversized, androgynous pieces.

Outfit #1: Weekend Chic

This outfit is a chic spring weekend at its best. Mandeep can wear the Double Belted Overthrow Jumpsuit for breakfast with friends, and easily transition it into a dinner and drinks look with the Soko Kaya Statement Necklace thrown into the mix.

We decided to cuff the sleeves and bottom hem of the jumpsuit to show off Mandeep's sexy sock booties. To elevate the entire look, we added the Oversized Blazer in Multi

Outfit #2: Casual Working Girl

Since Mandeep is on her feet all day at work, styling her in the Sailor Pants in Black was a no-brainer. With a high-waisted fit, a slightly cropped wide leg, and front button detailing, Mandeep will be able to wear this staple with everything. We've added our lightweight Meg Movement Sleeveless Turtleneck and paired it with the Shacket Dress in Marsala worn overtop as a jacket.

To finish the look, Mandeep is wearing heeled sandals to elongate her legs, but she can easily switch out the heels for sneakers or sleek boots. If she wants to wear a matching set, she can swap out the Sailor Pants for the Izy Culotte in Marsala for a monochromatic vibe that's just as comfortable!

Outfit #3: Date Night

When Mandeep goes out, she always plans a killer outfit. We knew that the Christopher Dress in Marsala would be the perfect spring dress for any special occasion she has coming up. The Christopher Dress has a modest v-neck and a T-shaped halter in the back, which shows off her hourglass figure.

We swapped out the removable belt for our Wrap Belt in Tan for a more structured look. We also added the Delicate Dash Cuff and Mezi Maxi Hoops from Soko and a pair of cute heels to dress it up. For a more casual look, Mandeep can also remove the belt and throw on a pair of sneakers or flat sandals.
