A Striped Button Up Made for Summer (and 3 Ways to Wear it)

A striped button up is an ever necessary, incredibly versatile and universally flattering closet staple. Throw in some interesting design elements like a wide cropped cut and a mandarin collar along with super luxe and breathable tencel fabric and you’ve got your go-to top of the summer. Not to mention there are countless ways to style it. Here are 3 looks to inspire you all summer long!

A striped button up with denim is a match made in heaven. Because of this particular top’s shoulder pleats and wide cut, you can easily create a classic yet fashion forward look with little more than a basic pair of jeans and minimal jewelry. To take it up a notch, pair with wide-leg frayed denim and bright sandals for a pop of color.

Allow us to reiterate, striped button-ups are incredibly versatile. As stylists, we get a special kick out of finding new and unexpected ways to wear simple items to up their versatility, and here is a new favorite- not the first time we’ve tied up a button-up, but this one just looks like it was tailor-made for a night out during your seaside vacation. To achieve this look, unbutton the top entirely, tie in a knot to crop, and simply fold in the collar to create a deeper neckline. If that feels too risqué for your tastes, show off the chic mandarin collar by keeping it buttoned. Pair with high waisted trousers, statement earring, and cold margarita.

In Between

If you’ve ever wanted to venture into pattern mixing but were too afraid to give it a go, consider this stripes and paisley look to be your introductory guide. The minimal stripes pair well with a bolder paisley pattern and looks super current, just be sure to keep it in the same color palette. This look is perfectly casual yet put together for your next backyard bbq.

Pair the Hola Top with printed short and clogs.

Clogs elevate the look while still keeping things casual enough for daytime.
